Hey everyone!
Sorry I have been MIA the last few days, but it has been a long couple of days moving, so I wanted to check back in with the blog world. Are we done moving you ask??
Nope. Not at all.
We are close. We still have clothes and random things to bring over from our old apartment, but I think we can probably get that done by the end of the week? Maybe? That could definitely be wishful thinking.

Clutter in the kitchen (and we just found out that our kitchen is getting upgraded soon and it will look AWESOME)
And things are coming along in the new apartment, but we still have a lot left to do here too. We still have more to unpack, set up the cable (not til next week, so Sunday’s Breaking Bad episode will again be watched at the old place, on the floor), and we have to buy a mattress for our room (we are upgrading to a king because Milo takes up too much room in the queen), so the master bedroom is pretty much a disaster.
I can’t talk about us moving without mentioning the HUGE help our friends Mark and Samantha were to us on Sunday. We managed to most every that was packed and all the furniture in just two trips on Sunday (with a U-Haul). We couldn’t have done it without them! And, they just got engaged on Friday, so they were spending their first Sunday as an engaged couple by carrying things all around Milwaukee with us.

Today, I had to stay home from work to take Milo to the vet for a bladder infection.

It was nice to be home with him though because today was his first full day in the new apartment, and I wanted to make sure he was okay and didn’t think we abandoned him in some random place. But, he seems to really like it here.

I also walked around the apartment complex a bit today to get a feel for it, and I already know I will love living here for two reason:

Hopefully there will be more pictures of those as I get to use them more this summer!
Well, tonight it’s a little more unpacking and then bed. After work tomorrow, we’ll make another trip to the old apartment to get more stuff, and hopefully, soon this will start to resemble a livable apartment. Once that day comes around, I’ll post actual pictures of the new place, not just boxes and clutter.

Moving is such hard work! My husband and I were thinking about finding a different house this summer (one w/ a yard), but we just didn’t want a new place bad enough when we thought about packing and unpacking all of our stuff:P That’s so exciting about the kitchen upgrade! Can’t wait to see what gets done!

Poor Milo! I LOVE your new apartment. We have two pools at our complex, but they are a little ghetto. The one time I went there were pre-teen girls smoking!

You will love love love a king size bed. I don’t think we could ever live without one!! Poor little Milo bear. Hopefully he is better soon! So cute resting his head on the window sill…Toby does that all the time too. Funny pups!
