Today is a very special day. Twenty-seven years ago, my best friend was born!

This is the fourth birthday of his we’ve celebrated together, and this may be the best one yet!
On Friday, I wanted to make sure he had some surprises to come home to after work, so I got him….
A chocolate mousse cake
Some of his favorite beer
And made him some beer bread
I also bought some champagne for him to celebrate his last birthday as a single man 
Saturday, we went out to dinner with some friends, and James got his favorite food — Mexican! We tried a new-to-us restaurant in our new area, and it did not disappoint!

I also got him a couple gifts including Batman Begins on Blu-ray (which I gave him last weekend so we could watch it before we saw The Dark Knight Rises. I bought him The Dark Knight for his birthday a few years ago, so apparently it’s a bit of a tradition).
I hope he has a great day today because he deserves it!
