I had a very productive morning and it’s only 6:45 a.m.
I made up a little workout that I did this morning and man, it was hard. After only running for the past three months, these moves were a little difficult, but it was definitely a great workout. It looked like this:
*NOTE: all cardio moves are performed for 20 seconds followed by a 10 second rest and repeated two more times. The strength moves are all done for either 25 reps or 25 seconds depending on the move (and, as always, take a longer rest if you need it)*
- Cardio: mountain climbers
- Strength: push ups
- Cardio: squat jumps
- Strength: lunges
- Cardio: burpees
- Strength: tricep dips
- Cardio: skaters
- Strength: plank
- Cardio: high knees
- Strength: crunches
- Cardio: butt kicks
- Strength: wall sit
After you get through this circuit once, rest for two minutes and repeat.
The whole thing took me about 30 minutes. I can’t believe how much I hate burpees. I don’t think they should exist, but I guess that means they are doing their job.
Switching from running to this circuit was pretty difficult — good thing I didn’t try to start up Insanity right away. Soon enough though!

After the workout, I made my breakfast and lunch. For breakfast, I made my favorite oatmeal combo — oatmeal with peanut butter and honey.
This guy loves when I add peanut butter to my oatmeal because he knows he can get a little bit.
I usually make it with almond milk, which is my favorite way to make oatmeal, but we were out, so I used skim instead.
I used to hate oatmeal when I was growing up, but now it’s almost the only thing I eat for breakfast these days. Weird.
I also made a smoothie for lunch (along with several other snacks, not just the smoothie). The smoothie today is an odd combo, but it tastes great (I sampled a bit to make sure).
I had about a cup of each of these bags of frozen fruit left, so I threw it all in the blender — mostly strawberries, but also bananas and mangoes.
I added a 6 oz container of blueberry greek yogurt, a 1/4 c of milk (plus a little more), and a T of honey.
It tastes so refreshing, I’m excited to have this treat for lunch.
Time to get ready for my Thursday. Have a great day everyone!

That circut sounds painful! Mountain climbers + burpees + tricep dips = my worst enemies. But they sure do get the heart pumping!
Burpees are my absolute worst enemies! I need them out of my life
Sounds like a challenging circuit!
When I wrote it down, it didn’t seem to bad but it definitely kicked my butt!
That circuit looks intense – but awesome!
I was sore for two days, so beware
Great circuit workout there! Definitely my favorite way of working out, and will be trying this soon!
Definitely try it out! It was fun because each move was so quick, but at the end, I was dying — always a good sign
