Successful Shopping Trip

The Bachelorette draft is complete!

We planned on drafting Monday before the show, but some emails got started and we ended up drafting everyone yesterday.  So, my championship team is — Doug, Ryan, Nathan, and Kalon.

I know, Kalon is a terrible person, but I had the first pick of the draft and the last, so I got stuck with him.  Hopefully he gets me some points for being an a-hole.  Based on retroactive points, I’m currently up by 10 points — good thing Ryan wrote that 35 page letter huh?  :)

Yesterday was pretty uneventful, except that I went dress shopping for the wedding we’re going to this weekend and my sister’s rehearsal dinner next week.

I started at H&M, but there should have been a sign on the door that if you are a certain height you shouldn’t go in.  Everything I tried on was ridiculously short.  I didn’t think being 5’10″ was so out of the ordinary, but nothing fitting appropriately, so I was out of there.

I found a dress at Ann Taylor LOFT (only the one I tried on was blue) that was ok, but I decided not to buy it unless I loved it, so I continued looking.  I ended up getting this dress from Francesca’s for the rehearsal dinner:

I also tried to avoid White House Black Market because ALL of my dress are from there, but it’s because they are so great!  I ended up with this dress from there for this weekend’s wedding:

My mom actually got me a gift certificate to there, but I didn’t use it.  She got it for me because I had mentioned I wanted to buy work clothes from there, so I purposely saved it for when I shop for work clothes.

It was a pretty successful shopping trip!

Today, we have a long day ahead of us.  No working out for me, I decided to take a break after working out each day this week (I ran 3.12 miles yesterday and did some bicep and tricep work).  Instead, we have to put in a full day of work, take Milo for a walk to tire him out, then it’s back home to Indiana (for the second weekend in a row).
