The Calm Before the Storm

Unfortunately, my blogging plan went out the window last night because I was incapacitated from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. when I was finally able to go to bed.  I will get to all of that in a longer post tonight — my first half marathon post where I will be including tips and advice based on my experience.

Hope I don’t leave you hanging too much :)

Now, to recap yesterday afternoon, which I like to refer to as the calm before the storm because it was a great Sunday.

My friend Steph sent me a Target gift card to get some bridal magazines.  No one ever believes me when I say this, but I’ve never looked at a bridal magazine before.  I bought some for my sister and for Steph, but I never looked at any myself.  So needless to say, I was pretty excited.

I immediately went to Target and got these little beauties:

I also grabbed some Starbucks because honestly, I can’t go to Target and NOT get a drink.

Iced nonfat caramel macchiato...yum!

I spent the afternoon reading through these for some ideas about colors, dresses, and honeymoons <– which was my favorite part.

Because we don’t want to plan too much in the next month, I marked pages to refer back to without giving them a whole bunch of thought, so I’m excited for when the real planning begins and I have all these to look at.

While reading, I made myself an egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel thin, but the best part were the 4 fresh basil leaves I added to it.  I definitely recommend this for a little more flavor.

Like my cute plate?  It was one of my gifts during senior week in undergrad from my “lil sis” in my sorority.  I love it!

So that was my yesterday afternoon.  Be sure to check back tonight for some advice on how to handle it when you think you are going to die after a run (hint: get yourself a James :) )

Have a wonderful day!
